Mizzle is a solo project of bass player and songwriter Casper van Beugen from
's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. In the late 90s he founded the band Crimble Cromble in his hometown. Together with singer and songwriter Klaas van Eijkeren he was band-leader and published five CD's/EP's with different musicians. These were discussed very positively in various magazines. The band had a lot of gigs within Netherlands and Belgium and was often played on Dutch radio stations -locally and nationwide as well. The local television broadcasting station "Omroep Brabant TV" telecasted a special about the band in 2001. The video clip to "Uh-Uh" (2003) was also on air on a regular basis. The music distinguishes itself by unique and special sound, by a mixture of different styles, unexpected rhythmical changes as well as a melancholy and psychedelic atmosphere. In 2005 the band parted.

Casper moved to Cologne, Germany, in 2007. He searched and successfully found musicians, who were interested in participating in his solo studio project "Mizzle". This time he took over the role of the singer. The musicians are: Peter Richter (drums, Ex-Zeromin) who's also responsible for recording, mixes and mastering. Dieter Breuer (guitar, Ex-Mother Orange), his brother Manfred Breuer (bass guitar, Ex-Mother Orange) and Rik van Stiphout, the former keyboardplayer of Crimble Cromble in a guest role. In July 2009 the CD "Twelve reasons to take a holiday" was released to public in Germany. Design and Artwork were done by Ex-Crimble Cromble-singer Klaas van Eijkeren. The album got very positive feedback in media like the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger (famous Colognian newspaper), Kölner Wochenspiegel, Noisy Neighbours (Fanzine) and RamTatTa (Online Fanzine).

In October/November 2010, six new songs were recorded for the new
CD (EP) at Gotteswegstudio A in Cologne. Drummer on the second Mizzle
album is Marrick Verhoeven (Less Purple, Ontroerend Goed, Odette, Sugar
ex-Crimble Cromble) from The Netherlands. Marcus Brand (ex-Benzin)
from Germany is the guitarist. Next to vocals, Casper played the bass
guitar. Peter Richter, the drummer on Mizzle’s first album, is
responsible for the artwork & design. The EP, named Sixpack, was released in
February 2011 under the label FinestNoise.

At the moment rehearsals and recordings are taking place for Mizzle’s third album, with drummer Peter Richter and guitar player Marcus Brand.

Since June 2011, Casper is bass player for KEEGAN (www.keegan-music.com).
